Fashionably Late to the Blogging Party

I have not got a clue what I am doing. No, seriously.

Having studied English literature and professional writing for half of my life, this saddens me greatly. It was all done with the what the children of today would probably describe as a 'Roman tool'.
There is something romantically satisfying about about a pen. It wonders off across the page, even in times of writers block and at the very least drawing faces or doodling flowers. (Why the hell do I always doodle flowers? Not even very good ones at that).
The keys on my laptop just sit there, lifeless and completely static. Until my head hits them with a frustrated and confused thud. Thwack.......Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

However, I am here now, so fetch the aperitifs and the dips. I am going in head first, being told that the water is lovely.
You might be wondering, what sort of parties does this chap attend, the kind with aperitifs,  hot tubs and swimming pools? No. There is a small pond, I think a newt lives in it.

What you will find with my future blogs, when I manage to plug the laptop in seconds before it is about to run out of battery, or spill coffee over the keys and blame the cat for the results, is that they are truthful.
